The Penn State Alumni AssociationWhat’s been happening: I graduated from Penn State in 1968 and have a long working career at Westinghouse (5 years), the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (17 years), and the Department of Energy (19 years). At both government agencies, I have managed event reporting systems and operating experience programs. In addition, I was selected to be the U.S. Representative to a Committee at the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna, Austria. I have been blessed with many domestic and international trips, both work related and personal. In addition, I have many domestic and international friends, who have helped me broaden my perspective of the world. I have two married daughters, who have blessed me with a number of grandchildren, currently three boys and a girl, with another grandchild on the way (due in September). My only sibling is my sister, who has two grandsons of her own. My father, Stanley Schaffer, is a Penn State Distinguished Alumnus and a Trustee Emeritus. Life is always changing for each and every one of us and hopefully many exciting and prosperous times are ahead. I wish God's blessings on you all. |
